Mary & Cody’s March Wedding at The Nest

On March 20th, 2021 one of the sweetest, most genuine couples, Mary and Cody were happily married in a beautiful outdoor ceremony in front of family and friends. It was truly a special day we won’t forget. There were so many beautiful details thoughtfully planned for their guests to experience, which represented their love for each other and families. Read further to hear more about Mary and Cody’s love story and what planning their wedding at The Nest was like.

N | How did you meet?

M | “Cody and I first met when I was in college, waiting tables. Cody had already graduated College and was only in town visiting family when we met. I had the biggest crush on him, but timing is everything. We started dating about 5 years later when he moved back to the area and we ran into each other at a local hangout spot!”

N | How did you know he/ she was the one?

M | “When I started dating Cody, right from the very beginning all I did was think about him. We would text all day everyday, conversation never ended. After a couple of months I just realized one day that no one had ever made me feel the way he did, and I never wanted to go a day without talking to him.”

C | “She always challenged me and just made me a better person. Being around her just felt so comfortable and she made life easy. She’s also one hell of a cook!”

N | What was it that stood out to you about Him or Her?

M | “Cody is someone you always notice in a room. He has such a big personality and the BEST smile. It was his smile for me!”

C | “Not to repeat what Mary said but her personality really stood out. She makes me laugh and we have a good time together. Not to mention her beauty too!”

N | What is your favorite memory of your wedding?

M | “My favorite memory was our first dance. Cody had picked our song to dance to all by himself and told me to just trust him and let him surprise me with what he chose. So, I did. I had looked forward to that moment for months. Not knowing what song he chose honestly made me so nervous, but he did great! We danced to “I’m Gonna Be” by Sleeping At Last. It was perfect.”

C | “Honestly the entire event. The nerves leading up were scary but when I saw her walking down the aisle I knew everything was going to be ok. She had picked out the most beautiful dress. Mary worked so hard to make it a perfect wedding for everyone and she did an amazing job. “

N | Do you have any advice for couples planning their wedding at The Nest?

M | “Wedding planning can and will get overwhelming, but remember what has brought you two together and how much you have looked forward to it! Realize you are at the point in life you have only ever imagined and hoped for. Enjoy every step, lean on those closest to you and remember that the love you have for each other is most important and worthy of being celebrated. So have fun!!”
