Kevin and Christine’s wedding was truly as sweet as Tupelo honey. Married on April 17th, 2021, this day could not have been any more beautiful. The bride and groom were married at a Catholic Church located in Denton, TX prior to their reception at The Nest. Planned and designed by Gathered Events, Brittany brought their ceremony and reception vision of romance, elegance, and fun to life! Through vibrant shades of pink, fuchsia, peach, and white, the decor and colors chosen could not have been and more perfect for the day and season.

N | How did you meet?
C | “In 2014, online dating was not for me. At that time, I was new to Dallas and living with my sorority sister. I ended up meeting a friend for lunch who told me about a new app called “hinge”. Hesitant, I download the new app. At the same time, while living in Rockwall, Kevin was using Hinge as well to go on the occasional date, but nothing serious. Fate began to work. Kevin sent me a message and in my skepticism of the app, I let the message go unanswered for at least a month. I was looking to clear up some phone space and getting ready to delete Hinge, but noticed at the last second a message from a suave, smooth talking, handsome, Sooner-living-in-Texas. We began talking, which ultimately led to scheduling our first in-person meet up for dinner at “The Porch” in Dallas, TX.”

N | How did you know he/ she was the one?
C | “It was mutual but after a few years of dating, traveling and enjoying each other we decided to move in together and the rest is history!”

N| What was it that stood out to you about Him or Her?

C | “We both loved that we had good country roots but loved to travel & experience new things!”

N | Do you have any advice for couples planning their wedding at The Nest?

C | “The Nest is an amazing venue that isn’t only gorgeous on the outside but the team that runs it is second to none. We loved that the Nest team invited us in (truly like family) and left no detail unturned. Advice to couples planning would be to make sure you share your vision with the Nest team. They have such creative ideas and were exceptional throughout the planning process. They can help you think of things based on their expertise that really takes your wedding to the next level. Don’t be afraid to get their opinion on things and ask questions!”

N | What is your favorite memory of your wedding?

C | “There are too many to name just one but probably a favorite for both of us seeing the dance floor full as the band played. It was amazing to take it all in and just be together with friends and family in such a beautiful venue.”

N | Is there anything looking back now you wish you would have done differently on your wedding day?

C | “We wouldn’t change a thing. It was the most perfect day in every sense of the word. We feel extremely blessed and thankful to have had such a simply, perfect day.”
