N|1: How did you both meet?
We met through mutual friends in college! We went to neighboring hometowns growing up and had always seen pictures and heard about one another from friends. But we didn’t ever meet until one weekend when I was visiting a friend in College Station and met
Garrett at a party at his house. We hit it off instantly and were pretty much inseparable ever since!
N|2: How did you know he/ she was the one?
Although we dated for almost 5 years before getting married, we both knew that this was the real deal after only a few months. It was a love and connection neither of us had ever experienced before, and those feelings only grew the longer we were together.
N|3:What is a good piece of advice you would give any newly engaged couple in this season?
Enjoy the engagement! We were engaged for 15 months and loved every minute of that time together. It’s a once in a lifetime experience and it truly flies by. Also, take your time when deciding on vendors/design elements and really think about what you want to look back on and remember about that day!
N|4:What was your favorite part about your wedding day at The Nest?
Our favorite part of our wedding day (besides getting married) was taking a moment while our guests were still at cocktail hour to just walk around and admire how beautifully everything came together! We put so much thought into all of the little details, and it felt so special to have a moment to soak it all in.
N|5: What is one planning tip you could give couples planning there wedding at The Nest?
Find your inspiration from the venue! We absolutely loved the all white background that The Nest provided, and it allowed us to take the design really any direction we wanted. Also, there is no need to overdo it with decor- the architecture and design of the venue truly speaks for itself.
